Today, the young boy in this picture, turns 36 years old.
A few questions do come to mind:
+ Who would have thought that I, at 36 years old, would have started a bookstore? As a teenager, I always wanted to work in a bookstore and I, finally, got the opportunity to do so, with BORDERS BOOKS & MUSIC, back in 2008 - 2011. Now, I own one.
+ Who would have thought that I would be married to my best friend, Dara Landry, and that we would be co-owners of said bookstore? Ironically, we met at BORDERS in the Winter of 2008 and we have been in each others' lives since. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Finally, who would have thought that CLASS would be getting such a big following right out of the gate? It's one of those things where you think people may not support you, because it has to do with something that is not connected to any other thing that people in your friendship circle know you for: music, fashion, blogging, videography. This is something totally and vastly different; however, there is something special about it. More importantly, people are supporting with their likes/follows/engagement on social media, their words in the comments, and with their dollars.
For all of this, we are eternally grateful. CLASS is in session and, as we close out the year, we are looking forward to what 2021 and the years to come, have in store.
