Greetings and salutations! My name is David Landry and I am the founder of CLASS Bookstore.
I decided to start this blog as a way to remain in contact with our customers, followers on social media, and just regular people who are seeking to (possibly) find inspiration from what we decided to do: open a bookstore.
There's a picture of me. I am, at the time of this writing, 35 years old. Born and raised in Houston, TX, on the Northside of town, in 5th Ward.
I had a good childhood, with my mother raising me and my great-aunt, whom I affectionately called "Grandma", helping her every step of the way. Both were integral in my growth as a human being.
Here's a picture of my dad, from who I received my first and middle name, David Earl Fisher. I was very fortunate to have him in my life and he came into my life at the right time: around 12 - 13 years old.
All three of these people were entrepreneurs: cosmetologist, restauranteur, and tax accountant, respectively. They were all my inspirations. All three were people who I looked to for guidance, love, and affirmation. I received all three in abundance.
I will use this blog space to share more information about myself, the store, its concepts, and products. You, the reader, will learn the WHY behind what we do. All the other stores will not do this. We will allow you to peek behind the curtain.
